This week I'm posting a podcast I guested on - Stoke The Fire Episode 35. We dive deep into my mental health struggles, breakdown, suicide attempt, and ultimately my recovery. Which is ongoing. We laugh, we cry - a lot - laugh some more and end with a lot of smiles. It's not easy keeping a Positive Mental Attitude. It takes a lot of diligence and daily work. But it's worth it. And so rewarding. It's important for all of us to remember that every day we have a choice to make. We don't HAVE to be alive. We GET to be alive!

This week I ramble about home. What it means, how to find it, grab it, know it's for you, and lean into it. This past weekend I finally made the move form McCall to Yellow Pine Idaho. which is currently undergoing a massive population boom. From 23 this past Friday to 24 when I moved there on Saturday! This week was the first ever Live Recording of the podcast, from the heart of NYC's East Village. I ramble about my departure from and return back to New York City for the first time in 16 months, the longest stretch Ive ever been away from the city. And how I ended up in the relatively tiny town of McCall, Idaho and how I've now moved to the completely tiny town of Yellow Pine, Idaho. Population 24. Plus an audience Q&A to cap it off!

I recorded this a few weeks after I got out of treatment for suicidal depression in early 2020. This was the first time I spoke publicly about my struggles, and was a real revelation to compare and contrast how I was feeling then to how Im feeling today. This week I ramble about getting out of my comfort zone. I rode one of the most remote dirt roads in America, that cuts right through 3.5 million acres of undeveloped land. The largest such swath in the lower 48. And about how terrifying it was. But ultimately rewarding. And then I recap a wild and woolly weekend where things devolved into utter bedlam up at the Yellow Pine Tavern. All's well that ends well, though. For now. I guess ;)

On my 48th birthday, I sit down in my "Hot Tub Suite" in a Super 8 Motel in Grangeville, Idaho and ramble about my recent adventures, my love / hate relationship with birthdays and reflect on what huge leaps Ive made in my own life over the course of my last two birthdays. What a joy it is to be alive. Life suits me. And Im gonna stick around and keep doing all of this for as long as I can. And sharing it with y'all.
