This week I ramble about energy. And being a turbine. Are you an energy consumer or an energy source? And I reflect back on a year in McCalm, Idaho and the excitement and trepidation of moving on to the desolate yet exciting environs of Yellow Pine in a more permanent way. And crashing my motorcycle. This week I'm doing something different and putting out an episode the Very Ape Podcast hosted by my friends Sean and Cass. I recorded this a few weeks after I got out of treatment for suicidal depression in early 2020. This was the first time I spoke publicly about my struggles, and was a real revelation to compare and contrast how I was feeling then to how Im feeling today. This week I ramble about getting out of my comfort zone. I rode one of the most remote dirt roads in America, that cuts right through 3.5 million acres of undeveloped land. The largest such swath in the lower 48. And about how terrifying it was. But ultimately rewarding. And then I recap a wild and woolly weekend where things devolved into utter bedlam up at the Yellow Pine Tavern. All's well that ends well, though. For now. I guess ;)
